Declan Kidney’s London Irish Face Tricky Away Tie In Premiership Opener

London Irish

London Irish face a tricky match on the opening weekend of the 2019/20 Gallagher Premiership season as Declan Kidney’s side make their return to England’s top-tier.

London Irish gained promotion from the Championship last season and their reward is an away clash with Wasps at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.

That clash will take place at 3 pm on Sunday, 20 October, in what will be the final game of the opening weekend and it’s live on BT Sport.

The opening clash will be at Ashton Gate where Bristol Bears host Bath on Friday night, October 18.

Of course, the Premiership is starting later than usual this season due to the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan which takes place in September and October with the final set to be held on Saturday, 2 November.
