Late Changes For Munster As Earls And Loughman Ruled Out Of Benetton Clash

Munster have confirmed that Keith Earls and Jeremy Loughman have been ruled out of tomorrow’s Guinness PRO14 quarter-final clash with Benetton at Thomond Park.

The duo were named in today’s team announcement but after today’s captain’s run, the southern province confirmed that the duo have been ruled out.

Darren Sweetnam will take Earls’ place on the left wing while Liam O’Connor will come onto the bench to take the place of Jeremy Loughman.

Earls has been battling a troublesome thigh injury in recent weeks and hasn’t made an appearance since Munster’s quarter-final win over Edinburgh in the Champions Cup.

“Following today’s captain’s run Keith Earls & Jeremy Loughman have been withdrawn from tomorrow’s QF,” Munster tweeted.

“Darren Sweetnam will start in place of Earls, while Liam O’Connor will join the replacements for Loughman.”
