Jordan Larmour Set For Ireland Debut As Schmidt Names Team For Italy

With three consecutive home games coming up for Ireland, Joe Schmidt’s side have a great opportunity to stake a claim for Championship honours after overcoming the often tricky away trip to Paris.

Ireland, of course, snuck out of the French capital with a narrow 13-15 victory thanks to Jonathan Sexton’s late drop goal.

The performance wasn’t without its flaws and the Irish management will hope to see a much-improved display, especially in attack, against Italy on Saturday.

For that clash at the Aviva Stadium, Joe Schmidt has named his matchday 23 which is as follows:

15. Rob Kearney

14. Keith Earls

13. Robbie Henshaw

12. Bundee Aki

11. Jacob Stockdale

10. Jonathan Sexton

9. Conor Murray

1. Jack McGrath

2. Rory Best (c)

3. Tadhg Furlong

4. Iain Henderson

5. Devin Toner

6. Peter O’Mahony

7. Dan Leavy

8. Jack Conan

Replacements: Sean Cronin, Cian Healy, Andrew Porter, Quinn Roux, CJ Stander, Kieran Marmion, Joey Carbery, Jordan Larmour.
