Former England and Wasps winger Christian Wade has secured an NFL contract with the Buffalo Bills via the NFL’s International Player Pathway Program.
This program, which was established in 2017, offers an opportunity for athletes outside of the USA to train with established NFL players in the hope of earning a place in a squad.
The potential squads rotate between divisions each year and in this particular instance, there were four spots up for grabs in an AFC East franchise.

Wade announced in October that he was retiring from rugby union in order to become an NFL player and just a few months later, he has achieved that dream.
On Monday, the Bills announced that Wade would be joining their team.
A life-changing moment!
