Ireland Squad Announced For U20 World Cup

Ireland U20

Ireland U20 head coach Noel McNamara has announced his extended 33-man squad for the upcoming 2019 World Rugby U20 World Championships which take place from the 4th – 22nd of June in Argentina.

Ireland are riding the crest of a wave at the moment after securing a historic Six Nations Grand Slam earlier this year.

They face a tough group, however. Just like in the Six Nations, their first match will be against England before they take on recent Oceania champions Australia, who overcame New Zealand 24-0 to clinch the title earlier this month.

McNamara’s side will round off the pool stages with a clash with Italy.
