Ireland Now Three Wins Away From World Series Qualification

The Ireland men’s sevens team are now just three wins away from securing a spot on the World Series circuit after overcoming Russia 33-7 in their final pool match at the Hong Kong 7s. 

Anthony Eddy’s side are looking to secure a spot in the World Series for the first time and they have come through their pool thanks to wins over Jamaica and Russia, in addition to a draw against Uruguay.

Ireland will now face Russia (11.28 am) once again in the quarter-finals where a win will secure a place in the last four.

Chile v Tonga

Hong Kong v Philippines
