We’ve all been there, a teammate throws you a terrible pass and you have a big decision to make. You either leave it go to ground or you stretch out your arms, leaving your entire body exposed, and take your punishment.
It’s usually the latter so you don’t receive the ire of your coach but you really have to feel for Hiroto Kobayashi who was on the receiving end of an absolutely monstrous hit thanks to a terrible hospital pass from former Toulon star, Ayumu Goromaru.
The incident took place in Japan’s Top-League and it’s safe to say that Gormomaru will have a big apology to make to his teammate.
The game actually took place at the end of December but the footage of this massive hit is only emerging now in the game between the Yamaha Jubilo and the Panasonic Wild Knights.
Yamaha Jubilo win a quick turnover and in an attempt to spread the ball wide to execute a counter attack, Gormoaru sends a floating ball to the unfortunate Kobayashi who gets absolutely pummeled by Ben Gunter.
Check it out below, it’s painful viewing!
