Setback For Ulster As New Signing Suffers Cruciate Injury

Ulster have been hit with the disappointing news that their new signing, Gareth Milasinovich, has sustained an ACL tear in training.

The northern province are currently in pre-season training ahead of the 2019/20 campaign and Milasinovich, a tighthead prop signed from Worcester Warriors, will now miss nine months due to the injury.

Milasinovich was expected to put pressure on Marty Moore for the starting number three shirt ahead of the new campaign and his injury will come as a setback for head coach Dan McFarland.

The northern province have confirmed that Milasinovich is scheduled to undergo surgery on the injury and that the approximate recovery time is nine months.

Milasinovich is one of a number of new signings Ulster have made ahead of the new season as they look to improve on their promising first campaign under McFarland.

The northern province have also brought in Sam Carter (Brumbies), Matt Faddes (Highlanders), Jack McGrath (Leinster) and Bill Johnston (Munster) this summer.
