With the Six Nations looming and the Guinness PRO14 and Aviva Premiership taking a break until the week after next, it may easy to forget that there was a full round of Top 14 fixtures at the weekend.
Racing 92, fresh off securing passage to the Champions Cup quarter-finals, continued their excellent run of form with an 18-13 victory away to Castres.
The result sees the Parisian side consolidate their top three position in the Top 14, just one point behind leaders Montpellier and level on points with La Rochelle who are in second.
They scored two tries through Juan Imhoff, the Argentine got a try a piece in both halves of the game but it was his first try which was created by none other than former Munster man, Donnacha Ryan.
Ryan puts in a huge tackle which dispossesses the ball from Castres, the Tipperary native was able to react the quickest to chase after the bouncing ball and put in a deft kick which sent the ball towards the try line, only for Imhoff to win the foot race and dot down for his side’s first try of the game.
Check it out below.
It was a busy day for Ryan, who also recorded 14 tackles in the game to help his side to victory.
