World Cup winner and former British and Irish Lions coach, Sir Clive Woodward, has been announced as a keynote speaker at the impressive inaugural One Zero Conference in Dublin.
Woodward joins a stellar class of top names for One Zero Conference, following the announcement of the controversial Lance Armstrong, Skins CEO Jaimie Fuller, and also Twitter Head of Sport, Alex Trickett.
Sir Clive Woodward’s innovations in using player data helped the England rugby team to win the World Cup in 2003 and also played a role in helping Team GB to their most impressive Olympic medal haul, at the time.
“If you win in IT (information technology), you tend to win.”
Woodward was also head coach of the British and Irish Lions in 2005, and is widely regarded as one of the greatest coaches to ever grace the oval ball.
“Sir Clive’s understanding of technology and its importance in sporting success makes him an incredible fit for One Zero Conference.” added conference co-founder Richard Barrett.
“His experience as both Lions coach and Team GB Olympic Director of Sport should make for some fantastic and engaging content. Rugby names don’t come much bigger than Sir Clive and we are delighted the World Cup winner is part of our event.”
