Breaking: Joey Carbery Ruled Out Of Munster’s Clash With Castres

It looks as though Munster and Ireland fans will have to wait even longer to see the Joey Carbery and Conor Murray halfback combination.

That’s after the news that the outhalf will miss Munster’s Champions Cup clash with Castres at Thomond Park due to a tight hamstring.

JJ Hanrahan will replace Carbery in the starting fifteen at outhalf with Tyler Bleyendaal coming onto the bench for the southern province.

Fans had been clamouring to see Carbery alongside Murray with the pair never having previously featured together in the red of Munster.

The southern province also announced that Chris Farrell pulled up in the warm-up with Sammy Arnold coming in to take his spot in the starting fifteen with Jaco Taute coming onto the bench.

Munster are currently top of Pool 2 following their draw away to Exeter and their win over Gloucester in October. Castres lie in second place, two points behind the province.
