It is being reported by Neil Fissler of the Sunday Express that a member of the Sale Sharks playing squad is due to face a disciplinary hearing on Tuesday after it was discovered he had passed confidential team information on to an opposition coach.
It is understood that both Premiership Rugby and the RFU have been informed, with the leak alleged to have occurred prior to Sale’s match against Bristol on January 1.

Premier Rugby and RFU have been informed and the player faces a disciplinary hearing tomorrow. I won’t name the player until then. 2/2

It’s a Sale player involved and I’m told was grassed up by an opposition coach.

The match was won by a single point, courtesy of a conversion from Bristol fullback Jason Woodward and was just the second victory of their Aviva Premiership campaign.
It’s expected more will be revealed about the Sale player’s identity following the hearing.
