Rapturous Reception For Best As He Departs The Aviva For Final Time

The end of an era…

Rory Best has departed the Aviva Stadium turf for the final time during Ireland’s concluding Rugby World Cup warm-up game against Wales this afternoon.

It’s been a fabulous career for the Armagh native who made his senior debut for Ireland under Eddie O’Sullivan back in 2005.

Since then he has gone on to amass 120 caps and played an integral role in Ireland’s most successful rugby side ever.

Of course, it’s not really the end as Best is set to captain the squad in Japan, however, his final game in Dublin was always going to be tough to take.

What a reception for an Irish sporting legend.
