Ireland are currently taking on Argentina in the second of their November series clashes and while very little separates the teams on the scoresheet, injuries are likely to be the biggest concern for Joe Schmidt ahead of the visit of the All Blacks next week.
Robbie Henshaw was withdrawn before kick-off after he appeared to pick up a knock in the warm-up. Ulster’s Will Addison came into the centre to replace him.
However, there was further disappointment as Sean O’Brien was replaced by Dan Leavy just before half-time with a serious arm injury.
While Ireland are fortunate to have plenty of depth in the back row, given that this is O’Brien’s first outing in a green jersey following a lengthy injury period, it’s even more gutting for the Carlow man and Twitter was quick to share its sympathy.
Gutted for Sean O’Brien… He has had serious bad luck with injuries this past while. #IREvARG 🇮🇪

Sean O'Brien and Tommy O'Donnell are involved in a competition to see who can have the worst run with injury. It's brutal.

#IREvARG how unlucky is Sean O’Brien? Hoping it’s nothing too serious for the Tullow Tank. If anyone deserves a bit of luck, it’s him.

What the hell are in those Supermacs burgers that Sean o’brien do be eating? #IREvARG

Sean O'Brien has no luck whatsoever. After being out for so long with injuries and working back to full fitness. Hugely disappointing for him 😥 #IREvARG

Johnny Sexton did manage to cheer up the Irish fans with a monster penalty from the halfway line to give Ireland the lead once again.
