England 24 Ireland 15
Ireland’s encounters against England of late have made for tough viewing for Irish fans but in honour of St Patrick’s Day, we are reminiscing about their last win over Eddie Jones side – a Six Nations Grand Slam victory in Twickenham on March 17, 2018.
Joe Schmidt’s men got their campaign off to a rocky start as a late drop goal from Johnny Sexton saved their campaign in the opening round. From there, Ireland steadily improved and the nine-point victory over England saw them clinch the Grand Slam and Triple Crown titles, finishing on 26 points at the top of the table. At the other end of the scale, England finished in last place in the Six Nations with only two victories under their belt.
It was certainly a memorable day for the men in green and we want to test how well you were paying attention to the victory in this special St Patrick’s Day quiz.
Good luck and let us know what you get. Don’t forget to tag a friend who thinks they can get full marks!
