TBT: Munster youngsters defy the odds at The Stoop

With Munster having announced this week that young Peter O’Mahony will captain the side in the upcoming 2013/14 season, this week we look back at Munster’s brilliant performance against Harlequins in last season’s quarter-final at the Stoop.

Coming in to the game as underdogs, Munster knew they needed to produce something special and the younger players, such as the aforementioned O’Mahony, Simon Zebo and Conor Murray played a huge part in the win. The impact of the younger members of the Red Army was emphasised after the game by Paul O ‘Connell’s post match interview in which he highlighted his pride at their performances.

With O’Mahony leading the Red Army this season, no doubt there will be more memorable days like this.
