Last Thursday saw England release name their 34-man squad for the upcoming tour of South Africa.
The return of Danny Cipriani to the England fold after a near three year absence was the headline news, with England looking to arrest a slump that has seen them lose their last three competitive matches.
Seven players were called up by England for the first time, including the likes of Ben Earl (Saracens), Jonny Hill (Exeter Chiefs) and Dan Robson (Wasps).
The squad that will take on the Springboks has been further updated, with Henry Trinder of Gloucester Rugby and Marland Yarde of Sale Sharks having been called up into the training squad for this week’s camp in Brighton.
Cameron Redpath (also of Sale Sharks), who received his first ever England call up last week, will report to camp on Monday for treatment on a knee injury, and is not expected to train this week.
Elsewhere, London Irish’s Ben Loader picked up an ankle injury on Friday and will remain with the England U20 squad for further treatment.
England face the Barbarians on Sunday, May 27 at Twickenham Stadium, ahead of three consecutive weekend clashes against South Africa in June.
