A disciplinary panel met in Edinburgh to discuss the rather ugly incident and determined that a six-week ban for the 24-year-old would be sufficient – given the severity of the crime.
Given his clean past record and his remorse, they also concluded that a 50% mitigation should be applied.
He will be cleared to return on Sunday, November 18.
