Despite not harbouring realistic hopes of reaching the next round, Munster put in an inspired display against a fancied Stade Francais side on Saturday, and this damaged the Parisians’ hopes of progression. Elsewhere, Saracens continued to beat a path through the season by having too much for Ulster in the second half, Bath were effectively eliminated at the hands of Leinster, and the Ospreys’ win over Clermont shook things up.
As it stands, Saracens, Racing Metro, and Leicester are through to the last eight, but the rest all need wins next weekend to get there.
