Watch: Two-Time World Champion Banned After Incident At UK Open Qualifier

Two-time PDC World Darts Champion Adrian Lewis has received a suspension from the sport following an incident at a UK Open qualifying event.

After defeating Spain’s Jose Justicia 6-5 to reach the semi-final of the event, Lewis, according to the BBC, approached his opponent and accused him of gamesmanship.

Lewis reportedly started to push Justicia before being led away by security.

In a statement, the Professional Darts Corporation said:

“Following a review of the incidents which occurred in his match with Jose Justicia at Friday’s UK Open qualifier, the Darts Regulation Authority has suspended Adrian Lewis with immediate effect.”

Lewis went on to play his semi-final in the tournament but lost to Michael van Gerwen.
