Watch: Tony Bellew Wins First Battle Against David Haye

Tony Bellew forced David Haye into an uncharacteristic reaction in an explosive press conference, where the first punch of the bout was already thrown.

After a few months of goading and button pushing from the WBC Cruiserweight champ, the avid Everton fan, who took the belt from Ilunga Makabu earlier this year at Goodison Park, pushed “Hayemaker” in the chest, prompting the Bermondsey boy to react with a punch, opposing his usual relaxed demeanour.

Haye then proceeded to lose his cool completely, calling Bellew a “bell end” live on Sky Sports News.

With mixed interest in this fight, it is expected that the promotional side of this event will have much of the same to come over the next few months.

Haye and Bellew meet on March 4, 2017 at London’s O2 Arena, with the former WBA heavyweight champion looking to welcome the “Creed” star to his first bout above 200 pounds.
