This week Dave Gantly travels back in time to look at the greatest Barbarians try ever witnessed.
For this week’s Throwback Thursday we have gone way back in time to remember arguably the greatest try of all time and certainly one of the most iconic sporting moments. At the Cardiff Arms Park on January 27th 1973, spectators were treated to a classic contest between the Barbarians and the All Blacks.
The highlight of the game, however, will always be the unforgettable try scored by legendary Welsh scrumhalf Gareth Edwards for the Barbarians. Some Brilliant team work by the Baa-Baas enabled Edwards to break free on the left-wing to score in the corner. The Barbarians went on win the match 23 – 11 and the game will forever be remembered in the history of rugby.
