Michael van Gerwen and Gary Anderson faced off on the third night of Premier League Darts which took place at the Metro Arena in Newcastle.
The 28-year-old Dutchman played out a 7-3 thriller over two-time world champion Anderson and it was the fifth leg which got pulses racing on the Tyne.
Van Gerwen hit seven perfect darts to kick off the leg but a wobble when attempting a triple 19 led to Anderson coming back to win the leg with an excellent 170 shutout.

MVG then got things back on level terms with a 12-dart hold in a leg containing three maximums and then he took the lead afterwards with a two-dart 64 combination.
Although Anderson averaged 110.79 and MVG 110.62, the Dutch sharpshooter took full advantage in the final legs as Anderson missed seven darts at double in what was a great battle between the pair.
