Thomas Barr Qualifies For 400m Hurdles Final At European Championships

A fantastic run from Irish runner Thomas Barr has seen him qualify for the men’s 400m hurdles final at the European Championships in Berlin.

Barr finished impressively to run a time of 49.10 to book his place in the final in Berlin, with Turkish athlete Yasmani Copello winning the semi-final.

Following the race, Barr outlined that he felt he “went out a little bit too relaxed” and that there was a certain amount of pressure on him during the run.

The Waterford man now sets his sights on Thursday’s 400m hurdles final in Berlin, however, his time of 49.10 means that he will be in lane 8 for the race.
