Phil Healy is one of the Irish stars in action on day one of the European Athletics Championships in Berlin while the swimming continues in Glasgow.
The Bandon runner will compete in the 100m women’s qualifying round at around 16:57. Also in the hunt for a semi-final place for that event is Gina Akpe-Moses whose qualifier takes place at 16:45.
Adam McMullen is also in action for Team Ireland as he competes in the qualifying rounds of the long jump event at 15:35.

It kicks off a busy week for Team Ireland as 42 athletes will be competing across the six-day event.
There’s also more swimming action on day four of the swimming action in Glasgow. Bangor’s Jordan Sloan will take part in the 200m Freestyle event while Calum Bain will make his championship debut in the 50m Butterfly race.
