Nicole Turner managed to take home silver in today’s 50m butterfly s6 in Dublin’s European Championships.
What an achievement for the 16-year-old from Portarlington!
After finishing second in her heat earlier on today, Turner managed to replicate the feat – but this time in doing so, she brought home a coveted silver medal, only falling short of Great Britain’s Eleanor Robbinson.

Following Ellen Keane’s bronze medal Friday night, the Irish have an extra reason to celebrate and their sheer joy at the win was evident from the moment the race finished.
