World Wrestling Entertainment star Sheamus may know very little about the world of mixed martial arts, but it hasn’t stopped the Dubliner from calling out UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor.
The wrestler will make his film debut as character Rocksteady in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of Shadows and was in attendance at the film’s premiere in Dublin this week.
Speaking with The Independent inside the Savoy Cinema, the Cabra native stated he would fight anyone, which included the reigning 145-pound champion.
“It’s entertainment, it’s WWE. I’d do anything. I’d fight anybody, any time, any place, anywhere,” Sheamus said.

When asked how McGregor would fare on the WWE roster, the four-time world champion was optimistic and could easily see the Irishman making a name for himself.
“I think the gift of the gab would definitely get him through there. I think he’s kind of tailor-made for that sort of situation,” he said.
“It’s very hard not to get Conor McGregor to talk. I think he’d do great.”
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows hits Irish cinemas this weekend and stars Megan Fox, Alan Ritchson, and Stephen Amell.
