Watch: Chuck Liddell Isn’t Too Excited About The Mayweather-McGregor Fight

A heap of celebrities and former fighters have been giving their predictions on this upcoming fight lately. The majority of course have favoured Mayweather. Chuck Liddell also feels the 49-0 fighter will secure the win – but unlike most, he isn’t convinced that the American will knock McGregor out early.

UFC legend Chuck Liddell was arguably the first mega-star of the company. ‘The Iceman’ was famed for his knock-out power and is a legend of the sport to this day.

These days however, the UFC has a star who eclipses Liddell and any other star the sport has ever seen. Conor McGregor is by far the biggest name in MMA history.

Though McGregor has no professional boxing record, there are some who still believe in him. Chuck Liddell however is not one of these men.

‘The Iceman’ feels that this fight has the potential to become a snooze-fest. The former UFC light-heavyweight fears that Mayweather won’t come at McGregor.

WIth prices for tickets and for pay-per-view set to be astronomical, Liddell doesn’t see this being the most exhilarating contest:

“I don’t know that it’s going to be that exciting a fight. I don’t think Floyd will come after him. Floyd will probably fight the way he does”

“I’d love to see him come after him. If he wants to make a statement then he’s got to knock him out early. Floyd needs to knock him out early to make a statement.
