This is as clean an uppercut as you’ll see this side of Alexander Gustafsson’s versus Glover Teixeira.
Hayder Hassan booked his place in The Ultimate Fighter: Redemption quarter-finals with a vicious uppercut knockout of Joe Stevenson on Thursday.
Hassan took just 18 seconds to dispatch of Stevenson, who Cody Garbrandt felt shouldn’t have been in the wild card selection. The victory prompted Garbrandt to roar “I told you” triumphantly, in his opposing coach, T.J. Dillashaw’s, direction.
The 34-year-old now moves on to face Jesse Taylor in the quarter-finals of the 25th season of The Ultimate Fighter, which features fighters who have appeared on past seasons of the hit series.
