Watch: What Conor McGregor Really Said To Jose Aldo After UFC 194

Perhaps this is why Jose Aldo has been so vocal about getting a rematch with Conor McGregor…

Conor McGregor vs Jose Aldo at UFC 194 was unquestionably the biggest featherweight bout in the history of the UFC. The Irishman and the Brazilian champion had essentially gone on two world tours promoting the bout and, after Aldo pulled out of their previously arranged match up at UFC 189, it seemed like fans had been waiting for an eternity by the time the two of them entered the octagon.

However, what had been promoted as a clash of the titans was over in the blink of an eye after a counter left from McGregor sent the champion plummeting to the canvas after just 11 seconds and, two seconds later, Big John McCarthy had stopped the contest.

In total, it had taken McGregor just 13 seconds to dispose of the then, pound for pound best in the UFC. In fact, it was such a non-contest that the ‘Notorious’ stated in several post-fight interviews that he would offer the Brazilian a rematch.

Now, audio has been released of the Irishman actually telling Aldo that they would fight again as the two await Bruce Buffer’s official announcement at UFC 194.

‘I’m sorry, brother. I’m sorry,’ says McGregor. ‘We’ll go again. We’ll go again. Again. [Nods] Again.’
