Well, this is going to be massive…

With just over two months remaining until UFC 213 kicks off in Las Vegas, MMA fans have been left wondering why the occasion still does not have a confirmed main event.

The card does already feature some mouthwatering match-ups with Donald Cerrone vs Robbie Lawler and a co-main event featuring Cody Garbrandt and TJ Dillashaw standing out as the pick of the bunch.

However, there has been some mystery surrounding the main event with rumours as to which pair will take the lead spot on the card shifting from week to week.

Speaking last night on Fox Pro Cast however, Tyron Woodley cleared up the matter to a certain extent confirming that he will be defending his welterweight title at UFC 213.

Although ‘The Chosen One’ was not able to confirm who his opponent will be, with no realistic contender currently available in the welterweight division, many fans now believe that the main event could well set the stage for a massively anticipated comeback.

In his prime, Nick Diaz was undoubtedly one of the UFC’s biggest stars and, having not fought since January of 2015, his comeback has been one of the most anticipated moments in the promotion for sometime.

However, with reports suggesting that his return would feature an immediate welterweight title shot for some time, it now looks extremely likely that the elder Diaz brother will return in the UFC 213 main event.
