Watch: Tony Ferguson Shows His Class Once Again In Interview With Joe Rogan

Speaking with Joe Rogan, Tony Ferguson showed his class once again discussing Khabib Nurmagomedov’s late withdrawal from UFC 209.

What was billed as one of the greatest bouts in the history of the lightweight division was cancelled at the final hour as Khabib Nurmagomedov was hospitalised due to weight cutting issues.

Although many suspected that Tony Ferguson would be furious with Khabib’s withdrawal after going through a full fight camp and making weight for the UFC 209 bout, the 33-year-old has in fact handled the terrible news with tremendous composure and class.

Not long after the UFC confirmed that the fight was cancelled, Ferguson took to Twitter to send the Russian geniune well wishes and, speaking to Joe Rogan at the official weigh-ins, El Cucuy was once again both respectful and humble about the entire saga.

“I thought it was a nightmare man… but it’s just some shitty stuff you have to go through. This happens in the fight game. No disrespect to the UFC or to Khabib. Everything happens for a reason.

This is a fighter’s sport man. So I want every single one of you to give love to the UFC and give love to Khabib. And I really want you guys to buy this pay-per-view because the rest of the card is amazing.”
