Watch: Team Alpha Male Confront TJ Dillashaw On TUF 25 Over Infamous “Snake In The Grass” Move In Heated Scene

TJ Cody Urijah

The tale of Cody Garbrandt and TJ Dillashaw’s rocky relationship is being laid bare for all to see in the current enthralling season of The Ultimate Fighter.¬†

TUF 25: “The Redemption” sees the bantamweight rivals square off as coaches on the show before they throw down in the octagon at UFC 213 in July, with the 135 lbs title on the line. As that fight approaches, day by day it seems that the animosity between the two fighters grows ever stronger.

As the story goes, Dillashaw abandoned his “Team Alpha Male” gym in Sacramento, owned by Urijah Faber and home to “No Love”, to follow his new coach Duane Ludwig to Colorado. TJ and the current bantamweight champ were training partners at Faber’s gym until the Conor McGregor proclaimed “snake in the grass” decided to join up with Ludwig full-time in an effort to overcome Dominick Cruz.

That nickname, coined originally by McGreger on TUF 22, where the current UFC Lightweight champion coached against Faber, has caught on for Dillashaw and is an angle that Garbrandt is playing up to fully in hyping the eagerly anticipated scrap.

UFC Hall of Famer, Faber is certainly not holding his feelings towards his ex-protege back either. The 37-year-old clearly feels betrayed by Dillashaw, who he took out of college and welcomed to his gym, forging a home away from home for the then young promising prospect.

Former bantamweight champion, Dillashaw tells the story in a¬†different light, as he tries to explain in the video below. The 31-year-old is adamant he did not jump ship but was rather forced out the door by his former teammates. Since switiching camps, he has fully earned the right to challenge Cody for the bantamweight crown in what will be the the 26-years-old’s first title defence since impressively dismantling former kingpin of the division, Cruz.

The conflict is reaching boiling point as the two come face-to-face on the latest The Ultimate Fighter series, which all makes the thought of their championship bout during international fight week this summer even more mouthwatering. In the latest episode of the TUF 25, tempers flare in a heated scene where Faber and “No Love” confront Dillashaw in an attempt to get to the bottom of the controversial issue.

Dana White does his best to explain the situation, until the scene erupts in to chaos. Check it out in the clip below:
