Ever since Conor McGregor stepped foot inside the octagon, he’s become an international superstar on the mixed martial arts scene.
However, amidst the glitz and glamour, the UFC featherweight champion has never forgotten where he came from.
Last week McGregor was unveiled as the new face of Budweiser Dream Big, a competition in which one winner can chase their American dream worth €50,000.
To promote the competition, McGregor featured in an inspirational advert, showing his life from humble beginnings in Crumlin, Dublin to the high life of Los Angelas, California and beyond.
Budweiser Ireland recently released a behind-the-scenes look at the production of the advertisement, creatively led by Brendan Canty; known for his work on popular music video Take Me To Church by Hozier. In the video, McGregor and Canty talk about their first jobs and their passion for following their dreams.
“Passion shines through and you gravitate towards that,” McGregor said in the behind-the-scenes look.
“I always enjoy working with people that are passionate and dedicated to their craft.”
The ad itself can be viewed below in case you missed it.
