UFC 209 will take place on the 11th of February at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn and, although there have been no fights confirmed for the card as of yet, most are pretty sure what is coming.
By the time UFC 209 rolls around, it will have been over two years since Nick Diaz last set foot inside the octagon. As for the younger Diaz brother, the Brooklyn based event should represent Nate’s first outing since his rematch with Conor McGregor at UFC 202.
Although Dana White recently stated that McGregor will not fight again until his first child is born next May, some have persistently cited UFC 209 as the ideal date for the Irishman to book his next bout.

Speaking recently, even John Kavanagh stated that he wanted the ‘double champ’ to settle his score with Diaz next.
For me, interest-wise, the Nate fight would interest me greater. – John Kavanagh
However, whether McGregor turns up or not is in some ways irrelevant. At this point, the Diaz brothers are two of the UFC’s biggest superstars in their own right, and a card with the pair booked in the main and co-main events is sure to do serious pay-per-view numbers.
