On Friday evening, Conor McGregor made a public appearance in Glasgow in which he discussed his bout with Floyd Mayweather and his future options within the UFC.
Heading into the event, fans had expected the Irishman to clarify who he was targeting for his next fight. However, with the Irishman mentioning multiple fighters on the night in question, it now seems as if McGregor has more potential opponents than ever.
One such prospect is none other than McGregor’s former sparring partner Paulie Malignaggi. The two men infamously fell out during the build-up to May/Mac and, asked about fighting the former boxing champion in Glasgow, McGregor stated that he would be more than happy to take the 36-year-old on… inside the octagon.
‘Paulie on the other hand, he’s talking some shit, I know he’s stuck for some money. I know he’s looking for a fight. He’s talking about balls, ‘bring your balls and do this and do that’.
Bring your balls and come fight in a real fight!’
McGregor’s comments were put to Malignaggi on Monday and the former World Champion issued a firm response.
