After an epic press conference on Thursday evening, the official UFC 205 weigh ins took place this afternoon.
Conor McGregor and Eddie Alvarez faced off in front of the media on Thursday evening ahead of their titanic bout in Madison Square Garden this Saturday.
The press conference contained a number of hugely memorable moments with Alvarez storming off stage, McGregor threatening to hurl a chair at the lightweight champion and the American making a pretty outrageous claim regarding the Irishman’s upcoming announcement.
However, all of that would have been for naught if the pair were unable to make weight in time for Friday’s official weigh ins. Fortunately, the two champions were bang on point.

However, things didn’t go off without a hitch as, at the very moment Conor McGregor stepped on the weighing scales, the power in the room somehow went out.

Although McGregor didn’t really show much of a reaction to the incident at the moment in question, he gleefully took to Twitter shortly thereafter to embrace a couple of puns on the power outage.
The Irishman retweeted Mike Bohn’s effort in which he stated that the Irishman was ‘truly a show-stopper’ before also sending out his own message hilariously stating that he puts ‘lights out’.
Conor McGregor weighed in and the power in the room went out. Next fighters can't weigh in until it's fixed. He's truly a show-stopper.

This is the first time that McGregor has fought at 155 lbs since joining the UFC and, going on the images below, this is certainly the most healthy the Irishman has looked at a weigh in for the promotion.
