If Jon Jones had tweeted this himself, we have no doubt it would have been deleted already.
Jon Jones returned to the octagon on Saturday night following a near 16-month layoff to take on dangerous late-replacement Ovince St. Preux in the main event of UFC 197. Understandably, the mercurial former light-heavyweight champion wasn’t at his best but the performance he turned in was still good enough to earn him a wide unanimous decision victory after 5 rounds.
The judges scorecards read; 50-44, 50-45 and 50-45.
Not only did Jones inflict defeat upon ‘OSP’, he also left the Tennessee native with a rather serious injury. According to Dana White(via ESPN), St. Preux suffered a broken-arm at some point in the 3rd round.
Upon learning this information for himself, rather than express concern, the always controversial Jones saw fit to break out a celebratory dance.

He’s certainly no Paige VanZant.
While St. Preux faces into a lengthy period on the shelf, Jones could be heading straight into another training camp. Now the interim champion at 205lbs, he is on a collision course with the true light-heavyweight kingpin – his erstwhile foe Daniel Cormier, and there is reason to believe that fight could happen as early as July.
