Conor McGregor vs Nate Diaz II at UFC 202 was for many MMA fans the greatest fight of 2016 and, nine months later, it seems that footage from the incredible war is still emerging.
Having been choked out by Nate at UFC 196, the hype leading up to their rematch last August was unprecedented and that was very much reflected in the success of the event as the promotion broke their all time record for pay-per-view buys.
For those who tuned in, the fight certainly didn’t disappoint with Diaz and McGregor trading blow for blow in what was both a grueling and enthralling five round battle.
In the end, McGregor won the fight via majority decision with just one judge scoring the contest as a draw. However, the SBG man had to overcome several rough patches in the bout and needed every second of rest and support from his corner in between rounds.
Today, McGregor’s coach John Kavanagh shared the following footage on his official Facebook page revealing in full, everything that was said in the Irishman’s corner in between rounds.
