Watch: Joe Rogan Asks TJ Dillashaw What He Was Yelling At Garbrandt After UFC 217 Victory

With a mountain of bad blood between the two UFC stars, there was a lot more on the line than the Bantamweight title when Cody Garbrandt and TJ Dillashaw locked horns at UFC 217.

Heading into the bout, Garbrandt was viewed as the heavy favourite with most believing that the 26-year-old’s punching power would simply be too much for Dillashaw to handle.

However, despite the fact that he was floored and looked to be in trouble at the end of the first round, Dillashaw rebounded in the second, eventually finishing Garbrandt via KO.

In the immediate moments that followed the stoppage, Dillashaw’s jubilation got the best of him as he bounced up and down on the canvas and roared in the face of his vanquished opponent.

However, despite all the bad blood and poisoned history between the pair, Dillashaw was all class and respect when asked what he said to Garbrandt shortly after his KO victory.

‘Oh I was just yelling. When he got up? I was just yelling. I was just excited and, he stood up and I was just yelling.’

‘[After settling down I said] Congratulations man. He’s a hell of a fighter, he’s young, he’s gonna be back, like I’m gonna see him again. This isn’t the end of Cody Garbrandt.’
