As one of the most respected MMA journalists in the world, Ariel Helwani, unsurprisingly, knows how to draw a myriad of information out of any interviewee.
And it was this very talent which unintentionally led to Joanna Jedrzejczyk coming to tears in her post-fight press conference following UFC 211.
Jedrzejczyk recorded a comprehensive victory over Jessica Andrade in their strawweight bout on Saturday night, which brought the 29-year-old’s winning streak to 14 and made her the second longest reigning champion in the UFC at present.
However, following the bout it wasn’t all good news as the Polish fighter broke down in tears on being questioned by Helwani about her coach at American Top Team (ATT), Kami Barzini, potentially leaving the Florida-based team.
Helwani later tweeted about the emotional encounter and apologised to the fighter for drawing such an unexpected reaction.
Also, I didn’t expect that reaction. Sorry! ?
