Watch: Ilir Latifi Puts OSP To Sleep With First-Round Standing Guillotine, Calls Out Daniel Cormier

Ilir Latifi defeated Ovince Saint Preux with a brutal standing guillotine last night at UFC on Fox 28 in Orlando, Florida. Latifi put Saint Preux to sleep 3:48 into the very first round after dropping him heavily with punches on two occasions.

Fans, fighters and media were quick to applaud the Swede on Twitter following the fight.

Latifi(14-5, 1NC) is now on a two-fight win streak and was quick to call out UFC light-heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier in his post-fight interview. Of course, Cormier is already scheduled to fight Stipe Miocic for the heavyweight strap in July, so Latifi is not going to land an opportunity anytime soon.

If Latifi, who was ranked eighth at 205lbs before this fight, can get one more win, however, he would definitely be in contention for a title shot in a division that is absolutely begging for new contenders and fresh faces.

The loss ended a three-fight winning run for Saint Preux, who dropped to 22-11 overall.
