The shivers run down your spine.
During the UFC 201 pay per view broadcast on Saturday, the UFC decided to whet our appetite for “the real UFC 200” by releasing a haunting promo of their controversial protagonists.
This one has everything.
Absorb the lyrics; “I know you. We’ve been here before. No surprises, just settled scores.” We meet a barrage of punches from March before a wincing McGregor taps on Nate Diaz arm, renouncing his immortality.
Defeat. As clips of the aftermath flash across the screen, McGregor’s limp arm and facial expression say it all. The most bitter of what was a fresh taste to the lips of the Dubliner.
The world erupts into colour as Diaz hits the mits and McGregor grimaces as he hoists himself from the ground to lyrics of “I know the pain”.
By the time we gaze at a howling Bruce Buffer after the walk to the Octagon, you are ready to stand in the cage alongside the Notorious one.
Just sit back and enjoy. August 20th; be prepared.
