Former UFC fighter Joe Riggs has won the Bare Knuckle Boxing championship after defeating Welsh fighter Christian “Fat Boy“ Evans via unanimous decision in London.
Riggs, who has a UFC record of 5-7 with more than 60 professional fights throughout his career, joined fellow MMA fighter Cody McKenzie in the bare knuckle promotion and won his first fight after rallying in rounds two and three following a point deduction in the opening round after trying to take Evans down.
After the fight Riggs celebrated his win on Facebook and claimed that his performance will be able to viewed on Netflix next month.
Riggs last fought in the UFC in February 2016 as Middleweight veteran Chris Camozzi stopped the 34-year-old in the first round after a succession of knees to the head.
The defeat marked Riggs third loss in four fights with promotion and he was released shortly afterwards bringing an end to a 12 fight career in the UFC that included wins over Nick Diaz and Chris Lyttle.
