Tom Duquesnoy is fast becoming the hottest young fighter in European MMA.
The 22-year-old Frenchman, who trains at the world-famous Jackson-Wink MMA Academy in Albuquerque, New Mexico, scored a sensational KO win over Damien Rooney at BAMMA 24 back in February to keep a hold of his featherweight title, and on Saturday night he authored another violent conclusion to become a 2-weight champion in the UK-based promotion.
Duquesnoy needed just 75 seconds to dispose of bantamweight titleholder Shay Walsh in the main event of BAMMA 25, which took place at the Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham. A single, beautifully timed but startlingly savage elbow finished the job for the multi-faceted “Fire Kid”. Duquesnoy landed the sneaky shot as the pair were tied-up, in close and it immediately short-circuited Walsh, who tumbled in theatrical fashion to the floor, face first.
World-class referee Marc Goddard, didn’t need to see any more and waved the contest off straight away. It seemed that Duquesnoy had already made the decision that Walsh had suffered enough prior to the official’s call, however, as he had started to walk away.

The win moves Duquesnoy to 13-1 with 1 no-contest as a professional. The only defeat on his ledger is to Finland’s UFC star Makwan Amirkhani.
