Dana White has claimed that he is unsure if we’ll ever see the Diaz brothers fight inside the octagon ever again.
Speaking to TMZ UFC president Dana White raised doubts as to whether fans will ever see either Stockton fighter participate in the sport ever again. White claims that they have offered the duo many fights but that they have repeatedly turned them down.
“I don’t know if those guys will ever fight again, We offer them fights all the time. We offer fights and they turn them down. I don’t know what he wants. That’s up to them. If they want to fight next week or they never want to fight again, that’s up to them, that’s not up to me.”
“They don’t seem like they want to fight. Either one of them.”
The Diaz brothers have publicly claimed on many occasions that they don’t enjoy fighting. With their money now well and truly made, it does seem highly possible that their might be truth to White’s statement.
In recent times Nate Diaz has turned down fights with both Tony Ferguson and Eddie Alvarez. Following his two epic thrillers with Conor McGregor, the younger Diaz earned a substantial amount of money.
The UFC president believes this is most likely why we may never see Nate Diaz in the UFC again.
“He doesn’t need to fight in 2017, the guy made a lot of money. He’s probably good.”
One thing is certain, fans of the sport would love nothing more than a return from either Diaz. With so few stars in the UFC at the minute were sure the company would also love a return from the duo.
Nate has remained inactive since his split-decision loss to Conor Mcgregor back in August 2016. Nick Diaz also hasn’t been seen in a long time, having lost a majority decision to Anderson Silva in 2015. Will we see either man back again? Only time will tell.
