That Dublin press conference wasn’t the only time Conor McGregor stole Jose Aldo’s belt…
Conor McGregor appears to have finally committed himself full time to MMA training once again, leading many fans to wonder how much longer they will have to wait before the ‘Notorious’ star announces his comeback fight.
Speaking recently, Dana White strongly suggested that the Irishman’s opponent will be determined by another fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson set to throw down in a bid to earn a shot at the lightweight champion.
“As long as Conor is willing to fight by March, we could do Khabib versus Tony and then the winner fights Conor for the title,” White said. “Or, if Conor wants to sit out until next fall, then we’d have to make Khabib versus Tony for the title, not the interim title.”
With interest in McGregor’s return to the Octagon peaking once again, a brilliant clip of one of the Irishman’s trashtalking moments has started to make waves online.
Travelling on an unprecendented promotional tour with Jose Aldo back in 2015, McGregor famously stole the Brazilian’s belt during a live press conference in Dublin.
However, it wasn’t the first time the SBG star had taken Aldo’s title with McGregor also appropriating the Brazilian’s featherweight strap during a relatively unseen backstage altercation.
Check out the hilarious interaction between the two UFC stars in the clip below.
