Exactly two weeks until Conor McGregor ventures to the world of professional boxing as the biggest star in mixed martial arts in an effort to defeat Floyd Mayweather, he has given us the clearest indication yet of where his mindset is at.
McGregor is 100% certain he will be the first man to beat Mayweather. Not only is he convinced he will create history by overcoming his 40-year-old opponent on August 26, he predicts his methods of victory will be via a vicious stoppage.
“I’m gonna’ knock him out inside four rounds. Mark my words.”
Rather incredibly, Floyd formally requested that the Nevada State Athletic Commission make an exception for this bout to reduce the glove size to be used from 10-ounce to 8-ounce. It is widely accepted that the lighter mitts would give Conor a greater chance of rocking Mayweather, should his famed steel left hand connect throughout the duration of the bout scheduled for twelve rounds.

At the open media day at the UFC Performance Institute, the promotion’s awesome new training facility for its fighters in Las Vegas, ‘The Notorious’ sat down for media scrums and interviews to answer the many questions the press has of him ahead of the much anticipated event.
The Irishman joined top MMA journalist Ariel Helwani of MMAFighting.com for a one-on-one discussion ahead of the fight. McGregor enjoys a close relationship with Helwani in the media and whenever the pair converse, fascinating insight ensues.
This conversation ranged from the doubters who give the UFC lightweight champion no hope in a boxing match, his opponent’s skill set, to the pride Conor so evidently beams with at the mention of his baby son and fatherhood, through the whole Paulie Mallignaggi saga of the past week, all the way to his projected pay day and his Mystic Mac prediction for the bout along with much more.
This is one not to be missed for all McGregor fans.
