As the world awaits the clash between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor on Saturday, the Irishman has hinted that there could be another hugely anticipated fight on the horizon when he returns to the UFC.
With the media clamouring to interview the pair following their final press event on Wednesday, McGregor revealed that there any many huge options awaiting him after his boxing debut against Mayweather.
While this statement gives nothing away, it was his suggestion that there is “a trilogy fight in waiting” that will have MMA fans salivating.

The fight he is referring to is clearly the decider with Stockton’s own Nate Diaz and is a contest that many have been yearning for since their last bout back at UFC 202 in August of 2015.
Diaz is the only man to defeat McGregor in the UFC and following their legendary rematch, where the then featherweight champion secured redemption, a trilogy fight has long been touted.
Before any notions of another rematch can be entertained, however, there is the small matter of Mayweather to contend with.
Both fighters have predicted early knockouts on Saturday night and now, with the talking all but done, fans eagerly await their showdown at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday night.
