The current series of The Ultimate Fighter is one of the most enthralling for some time with Cody Garbrandt squaring off against nemesis TJ Dillashaw in the coaching roles.
As is well broadcasted, the Team Alpha Male vs Dillashaw rift is the main theme of this series, and there has already been many an intense, heated scene to keep viewers glued to the progress of the show.
News broke earlier this week that the bantamweight title fight between Garbrandt and TJ scheduled for July at UFC 213 is in serious jeopardy, as a result of a recurring back issue the champion is suffering with.
Garbrandt is currently in Germany getting treatment on his back. Three days straight and two days left. UFC 213 is less than 2 months away.

No official confirmation just yet, but it continues to look less and less likely that Garbrandt-Dillashaw happens on July 8. Stay tuned.

Hopefully we can see “No Love” overcome this injury in time to prepare for the bout that has all MMA fans itching with excitement.
In the meantime, the latest episode of TUF 25 has given us an insight as to how the 135 lbs champ prepares for his fights. Garbrandt (11-0 MMA, 6-0 UFC) shares a unique training technique with his team that we have previously seen him use on UFC Embedded in the build up to his last fight, when he won the belt off Dominick Cruz.
In a method to clear the nasal passages of his fighters to maximise oxygen usage in the octagon, Cody calls in his doctor to perform the procedure on his fighters.
Urijah Faber is first up to trial the method, and it makes for top class comedy watching the head of Team Alpha Male wimping through the “ballooning of the nose.”
Check out the unique form of training in the clip below:
